32 weeks and feeling HUGE!
Everybody keeps asking me when I am due. I say not for another 8 weeks and their jaws drop open! It make me realize how big I actually am. We have an ultrasound Thursday for them to check the size of the baby again. It has been measuring large for most of the pregnancy. We will see what they say Thursday! Here are some pictures of me at 32 weeks!
Cincinnati Shower January 23, 2010
My mom and sister and law, Lynn, had a shower for me in Cincinnati. Many family members and some friends were there. The shower was at the clubhouse in my mom's neighborhood. It was great seeing everyone and it was lots of fun! Here are some pictures from the shower.
There were two types of cakes at the shower. Carrot cake, decorated just like the bedding for
the nursery and there were diaper cakes!!!
The decorations were brown and green, which are two main colors we are using to paint the nursery. There were also pictures of Nate and I as babies hanging up all over the clubhouse!

Basement Renovation
In order to prepare for the baby we needed to move our office from the second floor to the basement. The only problem is the basement was unfinished meaning a lot needed to be done to put an office down there.
Here is a picture of the basement before we started:
The first step was to paint the basement walls and install glass block windows to replace the 60 year old original leaky windows.
The next step was to move everything into the unheated basement room that had been painted as part of the project.
Here is a picture of the area to be finished now empty:
To frame and drywall the office Allison's brother Jeff came for a weekend to help me. Jeff brought tools and expertise.
We started with the back wall, and moved to the side exterior wall:
The front wall and door framed with Jeff taking a short break:
The room framed out with the door in place. You can see in the top left of the picture the first piece of the drywall ceiling is hung. I am pulling the electric lines and putting up the boxes for outlets.
A view looking in from the back door of the room with the drywall hung. Notice the bulb hanging from the raw wire, this was in place for quite a long time.
Looking in from the main door looking back at what will eventually be a closet. This was the end of what Jeff and I were able to accomplish in one long weekend. It was a lot of work but worth it, I couldn't have done it without Jeff's help.
The next step was to mud the drywall. I had a co-worker come help get me started on a Saturday and I took the rest of the week to finish.
The next step was to prime, paint and hang trim. I don't have many pictures of these steps because they're pretty boring. Here is a picture of the entry to the room with the trim hung:
Here are two pictures of the painted room with trim.
Most recently I have finished the baseboard and the only thing we have left to finish is the carpet.
