He always does a great job at the doctor. He is usually very alert and does not cry no matter what the doctor does to him. He is a trooper!
However, today he got shots and that was a total different experience. As soon as the nurse pricked him, he gave her a look like what in the world did you just do to me and then the SCREAM! Poor guy. It was the highest pitched scream I had ever heard from him. I knew it hurt him. He calmed down after a few minutes and was asleep by the time we got out to the car.
After we were home for awhile he became miserable. He was just laying on me whining and moaning and trying to sleep. He developed a low grade fever so we had to give him some Tylenol (well generic because the real stuff was all recalled). He slept pretty much all evening and then still slept that night as usual.
Here are some pictures of how miserable he was that evening.
Look at that face....
But Mommy it hurts...
Happy to report that Luke was back to his normal self today!
He even looks adorable when he is miserable. I always hated having to take Andy when I know he was to get shots.
ReplyDeleteHis upset face is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI need to schedule some time where I get to hold you, little buddy! Wanted to tonight, but it seemed like you needed your mama.
Allison and Nate, you guys are doing such a great job with Luke. Perhaps Melissa and I could babysit for you some time? That way she and I will get to hang out, and you guys can have some time away from home!
Aw, poor little guy. I agree with Cindy, still so cute even when he is hurting. What wonderful, loving parents you both are!!! Dad and I are so proud of you both!!!
